ABOUT ME

Hello my name is Julia Kendl but most people call me Jules! I am a junior at University of Colorado Boulder studying Visual Arts and Media Production. My main emphasis is on photography and immersive media practices. I love creating colorful works that express the natural world. 

 My favorite things to do include spending time with my family and friends, watching interesting tv shows and movies, taking photographs, painting, hiking, watching sunsets, attending concerts, and eating ice cream. I love art and exploring new ways to look at our beautiful world. I am passionate about showing others how bright and colorful life can be through art, music, and writing. 

I grew up in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado with my big fat Greek family. Most of my childhood was spent in the gymnastics gym. I was a competitive gymnast for 16 years. This journey taught me to work hard and never give up on myself. I have had many ups and downs throughout my life journey but I am really happy with where I am today. 

I just recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Grayson. He is so amazing and my favorite person in this world. He will turn one on April 29th, 2021. Giving birth during quarantine and finals week definitely was interesting and a unique experience I can tell for the rest of my life. I am excited to take this class! I really want to develop my digital art skills and learn new techniques that will help me succeed in my future endeavours.
